I'm having an issue with mailboxes showing the incorrect server names. I have attempted to run Update-Recipient and also verified that my old mailbox servers don't exists in adsiedit (I uninstalled them correctly).
I see others posting that this is cosmetic and not really that big of a deal but I'm noticing some issues like:
Process powershell.exe (PID=6784). Object [CN=*****@*****.com,OU=CC2,OU=CC,OU=Hosting,DC=cloud,DC=local]. Property [HomeMTA] is set to value [cloud.local/Configuration/Deleted Objects/Microsoft MTA
DEL:bd4cd921-bc4e-4286-aed3-2fafad274445], it is pointing to the Deleted Objects container in Active Directory. This property should be fixed as soon as possible.
Am I getting this error because it is pointing to an old Exchange mailbox server that doesn't exists? Is this related to the server name being incorrect?
I'm running Exchange 2010 SP2 Rollup 4
