A while ago we allowed users to send and receive email with large attachments. We have migrated all of this data over to Exchange 2010. Now we have better governance and have set organizational limits using Set-TransportConfig -MaxReceiveSize and -MaxSendSize to 32MB.
Now any old attachment larger than 32MB cannot be deleted from the mailbox and will not archive from their Primary Mailbox to their archive mailbox.
I don't see any addtional headers in deleted items or archived items so why would the TransportConfig settings control this? Also, how to I allow my users to delete old attachments but still prevent them from sending large attachments to each other in Exchange 2010?
