Environment;
- business
- 2010 Exchange (old 2003 environment is not fully decommissioned, but is not used)
- 100 user mailboxes (@shurqua.com), ~3000 mail contacts (@chrpin.com) that sync automatically from our daughter business
Problem;
- the mail contacts (@chrpin.com) are affected by our current "default e-mail address policy", which creates a 2nd SMTP address under the @shurqua.com domain. essentially, users can be e-mailed via @shurqua.com or @chrpin.
Goal;
- to prevent the policy from affecting mail contacts OR create a 2nd policy for mail contacts that does not create the @shurqua.com SMTP adddress.
Workaround;
- manually uncheck "Automatically update e-mail addresses based on e-mail address policy" for mail contacts that are affected by this policy.
Hopefully some of you follow me on this, if not, please ask questions. Thanks.
