I have an Exchange 2003 environment that is being transitioned to Exchange 2010. For a number of reasons, the transition has taken a long time, but I have recently found a problem, which I believe didn't used to happen.
I have ready many articles and threads which all give the same solution, which I have tried but which does not work for me in this situation.
When I run the cmdlet Get-OwaVirtualDirectory, it returns the OWA information for the Local Server, but for the other two servers it returns:
An IIS directory entry couldn't be created. The error message is Access is denied.
HResult = -2147024891 CategoryInfo : NotInstalled: (servername\owa (Default Web Site):ADObjectId)
The solution suggested in the almost hundreds of threads that I've read, is to add Exchange Trusted Subsystem (and in some threads, Organization Management) to the Local Administrators group on all of the Exchange Servers. I have tried this, rebooted everything and yet the error persists.
Does anyone have any other suggestions, as I've wasted several days on this problem now?
