Mailbox Move Path

Hi,

We have Exchange 2010 and 2003 in one site and Exchange 2007 in remote site (same AD domain).

Internal mail between 2003-2010 is routed via RCG 2003<->2007.

When moving mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to 2010 on same LAN it seems to take a long time, pretty much the same as moving remote mailboxes from Exchange 2007.

Do mailbox moves use the RCG?  I want to optimize mailbox move times since the bulk of my users are on Exchange 2003.
