I run Exchange 2010 Hub Transport on two node CAS array in hyper-v that uses WNLB. All servers are 2k8 R2 and clients are outlook 2010. I have intermittent issues that are drivign me crazy. First some clients
when pointed the wnlb address will hang outgoign emails in the outbox. If i edit the host file on the PC to point to one of the nodes behind the wnlb directly it goes quickly. This only happens on certain clients
not all. next my outlook anywhere for my remote clients stopped working. They connect via a reverse proxy to TMG 2010. I changed the settings in TMG to point to one of the nodes and it started working just fine.
It seems to me these are related but where to begin? Should i remove one fo the nodes from the WNLB and see if it still happens? Should i have gone with a true NLB from say kemp to make this really work? Thanks.
