I've scoured all google and knowledge base on the net and I am still not cleared on why our "storage" is getting full quickly than it is. I ran various powershell commands to see file sizes and databases and nothing indicates why the Passive Ex2 is getting bigger. We are planning to Migrate to Exchange 2016 and I want to rein in the Ex2 issue first.
Setup:
2 - 2010 Exchange Server
1 - DAG
Ex1 is Active
Ex2 is Passive
Backup System backs up Ex2 daily (only backing up Mail Box databases - Priority & Main)
Ex1 Disk Storage C: (OS) 100 gb Disk Storage D: (data) 600 gb (900 gb free)
Ex2 Disk Storage C: (OS) 100 gb Disk Storage D: (data) 1.1 tb (195 gb free)
I checked the mailbox database size and all combine - they are only 350gb total.
What bugs me that I can not find out why Ex2 D drive is almost twice the size of Ex1.
WinOS: Server2008 R2
Exchange 2010 version: 14.03.0468.000 (Both Ex1 & Ex2 is VM on VMware 6.5)
Thank you all for your insight and possible solution....
